Pity
pity that you will put off your trip there cos of Electricity...
thot you said you were going for your honeymoon? what could you possibly need electricity for then? honeymoon is a time for you and your spouse to connect and do fun things together, without distraction from the 'world'. Besides, they told you about their electricity situation... what if they dint and its not like they are forcing you to pay the per hour fee, its on request!!!
better go and enjoy the time of your life with your partner.
haba haba
Bros so because we are going for honey so we shld not have electricity! pls electricity is important and there is no reason why electricity wld fail, come on, wat if one doesn,t feel like going for their activities! there is no reason why there shldnt be electricity constantly!
accesibility
The place looks nice and a visit there would be great....i dont have any qualms about the electricity issue [i think it has become a part of my psyche as a Nigerian Never to Expect Power Always in any place within the borders of our great country]. My major qualms is accessibilty, the flight schedule to the place shouldnt be limited to holiday seasons, there are some of us that would like to bring our families at off peak seasons but its preetty difficult i.e. 5 HOURS DRIVE FROM CALABAR!!! I was planning to visit the place with a family friend that is planning to visit Nigeria from the US in June but the 5 hours drive will simply wear out the kids. Too bad....I am now looking at taking them to Ghana. Pls try and make regular convinient accessibility to the place a top priority same as in Kenya and South Africa
limited electricity???...and food??/
I'm sorry but this was just removed from my list of places to visit in 9ja this summer, hellz nooooo....wth?....to hike and be in a resort in Nigeria, for this price?,...no electricity at certain times?...limited wireless service?...please please please...the game needs some stepping up...and what food are they serving that breakfast is over $20 in Nigeria???...seriously???..and u pay for every single thing too...every attraction has a price...even Disneyland is not this expensive to go to...and this is Nigeria, where goods and services are waaaay cheaper...please people...
My sentiments exactly.
My sentiments exactly.
A Rare Gem!
Our experience at the Obudu ranch was nothing but Fantastic and completely enjoyable. The views from the ranch are amazing and the ride on the cable car is 5 star! It is a peaceful place suited for relaxation.
I am terribly disappointed at some comments about the electricity made by some ignorant people about electricity.
The temperature up in the hills is very cool and pleasant and there is absolutely no need for more electricity supply. We as a nation should try and encourage conservatism and eco-friendliness. The fact that there is limited electricity supply, in my opinion, adds to the overall charm of the place.
The food was great, the staff friendly and the services were superb!! All management can do is market itself more so people can utilise their facilities and be aware of the rare gem called Obudu cattle ranch!! Highly recommended!!
DO YOU NEED ELECTRICITY ONLY FOR COOLING?!
Several people keep saying "the place is cool and so electricity might not be needed"
I'd like to know, wouldn't you need electricity at least for heating up the room at night time when the temperatures go as low as 4 dergrees centigarde during the rainy season?
I intend to visit with my kids this July and the weather is already quite cold at sea level and would be much colder up the mountains. How would room heating be provided?
With all the comments I've seen so far, I"m having second thoughts. Would it be fun?, would we be the only guests? are the rates any less now? what do the hotel rooms look like, could I see more views about the resort?
I need a whole lot more information beyond that provided on this website to take a decision.
Naomi.
i am totally dissapointed
i am totally dissapointed with your comment, u are more ignorant than anyone else, conservatism and eco-friendliness mean we go green with power on solar, wind and water, not a power diesel generator. No serious holiday maker with his hard earn money will come down to obudu based on the current price been offered except corruption individuals who have stolen money.
Re: i am totally disapointed
Thank God you are annonymous 'cause I am disaapointed at your ignorance. Where in the world do you have such a resort as Obudu with power on solar, wind and water solely generated by itself. I know that you came from a remote Nigerian village with independet power plant generated by "I better pass my naighbor" Infact, I am proud that Obudu resort is located in my country with such management that does not deceive people by promising what they can not afford. Please STOP discouraging people that want to discover Nigeria.
Kwudos
Upgrade your thinking
Nobody is discouraging anybody from going to Obudu, all we are saying is that we need to stop celebrating backwardness in Nigeria. Electricity is not a luxury. It is essential. All these comments are being made so that there can be improvements made. Stop being myopic and ignorant.
CIVILITY
Its one thing to make a comment and another to make a meaningful comment. In as much as you are given to doing things right, we shouldn't forget the challenges that come with it. I believe that the management of the Ranch will do anything possible to get power running 24hrs (i.e. if it is not the case already). Power is a general problem in Nigeria which the government is working hard to handle.
If you are not comfortable with the services of the Ranch, then be more constructive in saying so, rather than sounding like the know it all genius who live in wonderland.
I will be visiting the Ranch for the first time in December, and i am sure i will have a great time with my family.
Kenneth Asenime
my view
I've gone through most of the comments and would love to appeal to us to respect each others views.we don't have to make derogatory comments to prove we have superior arguments. It's not a war and I believe we're mature people.
Obudu cattle ranch is our national heritage and we shouldn't kill it with our words. We all must be patrotic.Nobody is entertaining mediocrity...remember Rome wasn't built in a day. It's a good start but there is always room for improvements.
For all of you out there who are basing their decision to go based on the negative comments…pls think twice.the farmer that considers the weather will never sow cos it could ne too hot or too cold or not hot enough or some funny reason.
To a large extent you get to make your holiday what you want it to be. Be it by a 5hr drive by road or by air. You'll b surprised at how much fun you and your friends or spouse or kids or the whole family will have.It will be a memorable experience...trust me.
As for the light issue,it's been a national plague and its possible but I don't know how soon just d managemnet of OCR will resolve that all by themselves. As we all know power generation is a capital intensive venture. Let's be more realistic. OCR should get a pat on the back for doing business in Nigeria inspite of the hash economic stuation, while we encourage them to do more.
For those whose home town obudu is, I think you should find your own little way to start bringing about the change you want to see rather than make unattractive the natural attraction God has blessed you with.
I've been to Ghana, trust me when I say Nigeria is beautiful…lets cherish what we have. Its always greener on the other side.If you've chosen OCR as your holiday destination…make up your mind to have fin and go all out to have it. Damn the odds...make it work 4 you. Angela Ukpong
Power Supply
How can you all be complaining about a lack of constant electricity at the ranch?!? How many of you have uninterrupted power supply in your homes and offices?! The fact is the ranch is not on the grid, hence there is no electricity on top of the mountain in the first place. As a result, the ranch relies exclusively on generator, hence it cannot be on 100% of the time. What is more, the mountain air is so cool there are no air conditioners in any of the rooms, therefore you don't need electricity in the middle of the night and once you get up there, there is SO MUCH to see and do outdoors that there's you'll have no desire to stay indoors and run electricity. The times that the generator is on: 6am-10am and 6pm-12midnight, is more than sufficient to heat water, charge camera and phone batteries and dine. So please fellow Nigerians, stop complaining about what you haven't experienced: the ranch is a fantastic place to be, it competes with some of the best resorts in the world (and I have stayed in many!) and the hotel is clean and well run. So go and try it before you knock it!
Ridiculous!!!
Tourism & Hospitality is about maximum customer satisfaction. I could not believe my eyes when I read about the limited electricity supply on the ranch! It is a complete turn -off to demand money for guests to enjoy uninterrupted power supply. Maybe management should consider investing in alternative means of generating constant electricity. Solar power wont be a bad one putting into consideration the abundance of it in the region! Leaving guests in darkness at a resort in this time & age is absurb. We need to step up our game as a nation.
Solution & Oh Please...
Well, there's only one thing left to do isn't there? Let's scrap the resort altogether. It's such a pain to see these private individuals investing their time and effort to run this resort, setting up the meager power supply that they can, getting Protea, a 5 star hotelier to run the place, world standard cuisine, dedicated and friendly staff, etc. But, oh my God! No electricity??? Someone should be hanged! Afterall, we get 24 hours electricity in our own localities in Nigeria, and we'd lynch the heads of PHCN when they give us less. Right? People, get real, get practical. There's a good thing going in Obudu, a beautiful thing. It's not perfect (neither are the locations we come from and go back to after the wonderful time we have at the resort) Power isn't an exclusive problem of Obudu Cattle Ranch, it's a Nigerian problem. Take up arms against the real culprits if you will (if you've got the liver, not just mouth) and let those who're trying to DO SOMETHING SPECIAL with what little they have, do what they can. There's so many exciting things about Obudu (I can tell you from experience) that the downside of 'infrequent' electricity (not 'no electricity' mind you) is just that: a downside. A minus amongst the numerous pluses that abound (I dare you name another minus) SO please people, let's stop knocking a good thing. To those who talk like it's an unbelievable abberation: PLEASE GIVE ME A BREAK. There're several resorts around the world that pride themselves in not having ANY power at all.
Power Supply sucks so bad. right off, think b4 u waist ur money
This is just a turn off, I kept hearing about the place how good its to be there. But on making our research i found out about the power supply. while will a place like this have limited power supply. it does doesnt make sense. infact i thought about while someone will pay extra for generator to runn only in your room, while others to get it. myself and my friend were planning on coming there for a vacation from abroad, and all i see is no supply. forget obudu. I cant stand it without a constant power. You charge so much for loughing and we dont get light. even big hotels charge about the same amount, but give constant power. change or you gradualy loose the business
I dont agree with you
As someone who has spent a week at the Ranch, I must say that I don't agree with you. I really really really enjoyed my stay. The ranch has electric power in the evenings from about 5 or 6pm till midnight, and also in the mornings as well.
During the day, there is so much to do OUTSIDE that you dont really need power. You will be going on tours, horse-riding, sight seeing, swimming, going on the cable car(which has its own power) and many more. You will spend so much time enjoying yourself during the day, you would not even realize there is no light. Trust me, i have been there and done it.
Do you need light to SWIM? Or to ride a horse? Or to go on a tour? Or to enjoy the breathaking mountain view? Do you need light to experience the natural beauty of the Forest reserve? Or to play tennis? etc etc etc.
In fact, because its on a mountain, the weather there is so cool, you would need blankets not air-conditioners. And there are NO mosquitoes.
I dont know about you, but I would not go to Obudu ranch to go and watch TV by 1pm in the afternoon. I can do that in my house in lagos. Obudu is a mountain resort, with lots of fun things to do OUTSIDE. Thats why people love it and people keep going ( and going back) and its difficult to book a room there during the holiday periods like easter and christmas
I personally dont want to
I personally dont want to talk about power supply though i think paying for an extra hour at 17,500 is ridiculous! Dont you think swimming and some other facilities should be free of charge? I cant imagine staying at a hotel and then i am asked to pay for use of their pool or pay to just stroll around. Yes, there is the cost of maintenance but i think you are making enough from accommodation, feeding and logistics(the cable car which i think should also be free). I only hope that the people in charge get to read this. I just tried to make reservation and it wasnt possible.
Nice place but look into these above complaints!
i'v heard all sort bout this
i'v heard all sort bout this ranch, and i'm looking forward to coming here, i think it's bizzare that guests at the resort has to sleep without electricity, i think the management should really consider this issue, cos if it were reverse, im sure the ranch would be at its peak, obudu is like the most popular attraction in nigeria and it's completely hidded from the world, very few people know about it, you should probably consider the way you market the ranch.
ALL ELECTRICITY FANATICS
IF YOU CARE SO MUCH ABOUT ELECTRICITY WHY DONT YOU COME BACK HOME AND HELP SOLVE THE PROBLEM. ESPECIALLY YOU THAT THINK SOLAR POWER IS VAST IN THE REGION, IF IT IS, WHY DONT YOU BRING IT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE RANCH.
I KNOW POWER IS ESSENTIAL, BUT GUYS IT IS NIGERIA WE ARE TALKING ABOUT, I THINK THE FACT THAT WE HAVE SUCH AN ESTABLISHMENT IS A HUGE PLUS. LET US FIRST LOOK AT THE POSITIVES, BEFORE LOOKING AT THE NEGATIVES
FOR THOSE COMPARING THE RANCH TO DISNEY LAND, YOU SHOULD KNOW BETTER,DISNEY LAND SHOULD BE ONE OF THE WONDERS OF THE WORLD, YOU ARE COMPARING A RANCH TO A THEME PARK THAT HAS MASTERED THE ART OF CONVEYING THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE TO A SCIENCE FROM ONE POINT TO ANOTHER, AND IT IS A GLOBAL ESTABLISHMENT.
EVERY NIGERIAN WILL HAVE AN OPINION, SOMETIMES IT IS THE OBVIOUS OPINION, BUT IT DOES NOT MEAN THAT IT IS THE RIGHT OPINION, SO CAN YOU HATERS LEAVE OBUDU CATTLE RANCH ALONE, AND GO LIVE IN GHANA OR SOUTH AFRICA OR KENYA,WHERE THEY HAVE EVERYTHING, AT THE END OF THE DAY, YOUR NIGERIAN AND IF YOU DONT DEFEND YOUR COUNTRY WHO WILL...
Re: All Electricity Fanatics
You talk like you're part of the management.
Nobody needs to bring the issue of alternative sources of power to the management, any global thinking business should be thinking about that.
And I really don't understand what you mean by, "it is Nigeria we're talking about here". Are you saying that Nigerian businesses should not be global in their thinking?
And why shouldn't the ranch be compared to Disneyland? The ranch has the potential to be in the class of Disneyland (a global establishment). But if you've read the history of Disneyland, you would know that from the inception, the founder and the management were global in their thinking. So if the management of the Ranch do not start thinking like that, they will never make it to the international scene.
Please, please, please, let's stop tolerating mediocrity.
Mediocrity at its lowest!!
If there was ever a display of mediocrity, this is it! What does "...it is Nigeria we are talking about" mean?
In case you don't know, there is constant electricity in the space station. Do you know where it is located? Of course its obvious...SPACE!! Need I say more?
Upgrade ur mentality...
Its so bad dat u can mak such a puerile n childish comments..It`s even worse dat d stems of imperfection has entwined ur mentality..Sometimes,it is wise 2look at d negatives 2 better d positives..If we really want 2 stand out, then we wil hav 2meet up wit international standards..If the management of the range is serious about taking it 2d next level, then they wil have 2 take d comments of potential customers seriously..How do u think foreigners wil birth d urge of coming there wen they realize dat power supply is limited..No wonder our many parks n natural resorts die out wit time, simply because we can never making d little treasures we have stand out due 2 our backward mentality(that is even worse than that of a homo habilis)..too bad.
Anyway,I stil look 4ward 2 chillin there next weekend...
While agreeding with you
While agreeding with you there is a point you made that always throws me off. Your comment ".. But Guys It is Nigeria we are talking about". Does that mean that we should accept less standards because we are in Nigeria. I think not, knowing we have the ability to be the best. I refuse to accept and strave for anything but the best for this country
It's about choice
I have never been to OCR, I have always planned to go. I have checked out the website today for the first time. I have read the comments here about electricity or lack of it at the ranch. Guess what? It doesn't put off! Not because I am a Nigerian and so would rather patronize Nigerian goods and services. Not because I am anticipating a world class service, and certainly not because I plan to spend my time there watching TV! I am going because I have decided to go...SHORT AND SIMPLE! No amount of "bad mouthing" can put me off. After all if I cannot use my God given free will, then why am I living?
I am sure that people are
I am sure that people are impressed that such a place exists in Nigeria, but there's no harm in expressing displeasure in the fact that electricity is an issue there, it just ruins everything, the place has a high standard to maintain, electricity included.
Meanwhile why shld the Nigerians in the diaspora be the ones to come back to sort out the electricity problem, whats wrong with the Nigerians in Nigeria coming up with ideas aswell.
The problem with that country is that we learn to manage a problem instead of solving it.
How can Disney be one of the wonders of the world, u see u urself are underestimating our abilities as a country , yes we still have a long way to go but i believe we have theme parks in the country , its just the fact that we never have long term plans for anything in that country that will keep the likes of Apapa amusement park in the stone age.
Disney has evolved over the yrs but unfortunately our so called amusement parks have not.
Moreso what is wrong with wanting to relax where they have everything, especially when one is paying that much.If Nigeria cannot wake up and realize that theres competition from our neighboring countries, then too bad.
How do u explain to foreigners that they have to pay almost 18grand to be able to enjoy just an extra hr of bleeding electricity?????
What do u think that does to the image of the place
how much
helloooooooooooo how much are you paying? do you live in Lagos? if you dont, i'll suggest you take a trip there and check out a few hotels. with the noise and everything in Lagos, some of the hotels charge ridiculous amounts and youre saying 'when one is paying that much' its a ranch resort, a 'tush' farm!!! you should be grateful they are even giving you some hours of electricity. visiting there means you want to relax fully not just halfway, you want to connect with nature and that includes removing all distractions which includes electricity
I do agree...
Actually,i`m planning to go spend next wkend over there which is why i came across theses reviews..Knowing dat power supply is limited is not encouragin at all..Payin 4 an xtra power supply is even more absurb n crazy. How do u think foreigners wil react wen they get 2 know bout this crap???Dat definitely wil kill their urge 2b in a place as Beautiful as Obudu. It`s jus so bad dat most of us hav accept`d d mentality of imperfection(jus lik dat person thinkin its gud thing 4 Obudu 2b in dat state..It`s a pity). We`r supposed 2b outstanding in things like this rather than makin d average level our skyline..I knw we can be better if we choose 2...Notwithstanding,i stil look 4ward 2 chillin there come next wkend.
i totally agree
i have been trying to get my friends together for a trip to Obudu and i have been trying to get info about the place.it just occured to me that i could google it,i did that and read ur comments.im a Nigerian, born bred and buttered meaning im used to light issues.but if i decide to go on a vacation or pay over $100 a night at a hotel..id expect to be pampered, light and all.i was shocked to see that to have that,id have to pay an additional N17500 an hour! now guys thats crazy..what was my hotel bill for?? what if i dont want to visit all those places and im tired and just want to curl up on my bed? are u saying that i cant even charge my laptop to watch a movie since i have to got to the bar to browse? i was appaalled by the lack of light and internet connection, more so by how it was mentioned..please light is a right.
This is ridiculous
Room Rate is sick, i really do want to come to obudu ranch for a specific period of time, but really i dnt think anyone would indulge me in coming to spend huge amount of money in a place that electricity is not guaranteed, you are charging people unnessary and it's called extortion.
Power Supply
How can a place like this have interrupted power supply? This is a big negative!
not too bad but the lawn
not too bad but the lawn should be totally covered and GREEN. and how is a ranch like this, run without electricity supply 24hrs? so people sleep without electricity at night...interesting. Nigeria we hail thee!
Electricity - Extra Generator power on Request N17,500 per hour
I think this is most discouraging. Where in the world will you have this kind of facility without an uninterrupted power supply.
It is annoying and may be ridiculous to think that I'll have to pay a whopping sum of N17,500 per hour to have power supply outside the 10hours stipulated.
Don't kill our passion for fun and relaxation pls.
thats more than 100 dollars
thats more than 100 dollars per hour, not for room, not for food but for electricity only..........comon, this is not reasonable in a place called a resort. there is no excuse for not having stable electricity in a resort of the sort, please lets not pat the management on the back back on this 1 lest we start paying for bath water at maybe 20,000 naira per bucket.........really arcane
hey
i completely understand, but i don't think there is electricity supply in the resort, so saving cost is what the management is aiming for.
Electricity
Sounds so much like electricity is a luxury at this ranch of yours. Shouldnt be so. Its a big turn off!!
Obudu I come
Apako place
ELECTRICITY ISSUE
Is a real shame that in this present age somebody is giving excuse for inadequate supply of power in the ranch. All hotels/resorts have one common standard - provision of 24hr power supply wether outside or within this country. We should bury our heads in shame for our shody way of doing things in this nation
all these fake stories
i visited obudu recently and it was honestly beautiful and fascinating. All the talk has been about light.... visit the place then come back and talk. There's truly enough activity during the day that you just fall on ur bed at night and sleep till morning. Rooms are superbly clean, airy and no insects as one would expect in such a natural setting.
My advice to any one is that Obudu isn't necessarily a budget location. The cost of a meal; N3,000 suggests i take the rooms with the kitchenette and show up with all my provisions.
For those in the abuja environs, obudu is abt 5-6hrs by road ; going through markudi, bypassing gboko and passing through adikpo (all in benue state). I prefer road as one can go with all one needs.
Obudu is like any other business. It has challenges coupled with our famous nigerian factor. There were no road signs directing people to the ranch. We had to keep asking for directions and on getting inside the resort, it wasn't any different.
Its funny that even with all these problems, I have made plans to take my whole family... its cheaper than a uk trip.
All in all, obudu is beautiful, more than they tell u. I would recommend to anyone.
electricity
how much does it cost to run a generator all day long ? hey men think bussiness, think smart, think management or we got to bring in our gen set
ignatius ugbeka
electricity! electricity!! electricity!!!
listen to the testimonies of those who have been there: there is no need for electricity in the day time 'cos u r too busy with outdoor activities. it would be a shame to go to such a place and stay indoors all day. Even invalids and convalescence would be told that mountain air (best taken outdoors) will be good for their recovery much less the fit and strong! Now why would any one go to a ranch and despise the very essence of it's existence; which i know to be withdrawing from the complications of city life to the serene countryside. Let's be more positive and objective; look at it this way, the management would prefer to remain environmental/eco-friendly and maybe asking so much for extra time to use the gen inorder to actually 'discourage' it's use! As for my family and I, we're definitely visitng the ranch b4 the yr runs out and i'll be back here to testify God willing
electricity
thank GOD i read this so i would have wasted ma money,
comming all the way from abroad to obudu.this is a disgrace an absolute disgrace in dis 21st century.bye, bye obudu i am not comming anymore its better i go to the tick forest in d tropic where i would not expect electricity, than to come to obudu and waste my money.
Marv, Ireland
Obudu won't Notice your Absence

That was the greatest turn offs. I don't sleep on time and so when its 10pm, they force you to sleep? I can't see myself going to such place! I love the view but I can not do without power supply. No internet connections in the rooms!!! even mushroom hotels have internet connections...
Well, they have to look into these areas and try and improve on them.
Thank God I stumbled unto the site and saw these reviews...So Long Obudu!!
Obudu Mountain Resort
I visited the Obudu Cattle Ranch (as it was then known) in 2008 and loved it - even without the electricity, which everyone seems to complain about. I beg to differ with those of you that are of the opinion that power is the major issue. Yes, it is inconveniencing but the whole idea of a ranch or resort of this nature is the outdoors. If the choice is to sleep in all day and watch tv, then this is not the place for you.
The reason many are griping about this is because the country has a power issue already. If that were not the case and the ranch runs the same schedule, this would not be an issue; we would crave the 'exotic' nature of this sort of environment. it is unfortunate that our sense of deprivation will make us pour vitroil on this wonderful getaway location. There are resorts even in Europe without electricity and internet communication, and that is a selling point for them - not a minus.
Choices have been made about how this resort will be run, and respect has been shown for the various tastes and preferences for the guests, which is why i think the various activities have been billed separately. There's no point in paying an exhorbitant amount for a total package if you choose not to partake in all activities available at the resort.
Agreed, management may want to look at alternative power sources. This should not, however, take away from the fact that the resort is an excellent place to take time off our busy schedule, to put our feet up and enjoy nature.
I would recommend it, electricity or not.
Cost benefit analysis
For what you pay you should have electricity for 24 hours, basic.Never mind I will visit, see for myself and get back to you.
The Don
COSTS
Guys your charges are outrageous. I could not believe it. With the lowest room rate and your meals it means you are charging about $200 dolars a day! In most standard hotels breakfast is courtesy. You are charging the full works and you think you are encouraging patronage. Please reconsider. Haven't you ever heard of package tours?

The Way Forward
I commend everyone's concern and here are my constructive criticisms:
1.management should lunch an international advertisement of the ranch, as this will increase patronage and raise profit that will help them in going GREEN.
2. Management should try to partner with international organizations on issues of power supply and before 2011 to have a constant hydro, wind or solar power.
3. cost of rooms should be reduced by 40% or 45% as we all know that it is not the turn out that matters in profitability analysis but volume turn-out.
4. On issues of meals, management should start planing to own their own farm, poultry, crops and aquatic this will reduce cost of meals. cost of meals should go down by 60%. I like food well well.
N/B Please payment for every recreation is not ideal, please do something about it.
5.Security should be given serious concern. Management should try to archieve all these goals before 2011.

Electricity should be 24/7 Pls
First of all i must commend the initiators of that resort, its really a good one. But on that issue of inability to provide a steady power supply still makes me cry in the spirit everyday.I live in Dubai and will hopefully come to visit obudu by sept. 2010 during my vacation. UAE is a desert land but it fast developing everyday.
24/7 power supply, good road network / metero trains and good housing. But when i look back home to come invest in our cannan land people are still suffering on the issues i mentioned above. How can we then come back and invest or enjoy such natural resort without a steady power and internet connections everywhere in that obudu. Think about it i will be there next year as i said to see things myself. I love Nigeria no matter what no place like home.

electricity
i believe the ranch managers know people need electricity that is why it is available on request at a fee. what a shame for a great nation like Nigeria. Should we be talking electricity for a resort? I'm surprised people are so used to being without power that they think it is not necessary. Just the way Julius Berger converts a container to carry local workers to work and everybody looks on. please everyone talking of patriotism come out of accepting substandard services and this nation will be a better place.
